Robert F. “Bob” Nelson 84 of Mauston passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his home.

Bob was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 15, 1928 the son of Lyle Robert and Florence (Fraeser) Nelson.

Bob served with the Merchant Marines and the Navy during World War II. He ran an Insurance Agency for over 30 years in Milwaukee. Following retirement he moved to the Mauston area and enjoyed golfing hunting and fishing.

Bob is survived by his children Jan Harlow of Waterford, Melissa Henskey of Almond, Robert Nelson of Madison, Jon Nelson of Waterford, his dear friend Ruth Gardner, five grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Noon, Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Crandall Funeral Home, Mauston, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
